1. About the service
Essential Invite (“we”, “us”, “our”) is a digital wedding invitation and RSVP management platform, available at ourwed.app.
By creating an account and using Essential Invite, you agree to these Terms and Conditions. If you do not agree, please do not use the service.
2. Your account
You are responsible for keeping your login credentials secure. You must not share your account with others or use another person’s account without permission.
You must provide accurate information when setting up your wedding. You are responsible for the accuracy of the guest list you upload.
3. Pricing and payment
During the current private beta period, Essential Invite is provided free of charge to selected couples. Beta users will be notified before any paid tier is introduced.
When paid plans are introduced, pricing will be a single one-off fee per wedding with no recurring subscription. Full details will be published before purchase is required.
4. Your data and your guests’ data
You are the data controller for your guests’ personal information. By uploading a guest list you confirm that you have a lawful basis for sharing that data with us, and that your guests are aware their RSVP responses will be recorded and shared with you and your catering team.
We process your guests’ data only as a data processor acting on your instructions. See our Privacy Policy for full details of how data is stored and deleted.
5. Acceptable use
You must not use Essential Invite to:
- Upload data you do not have the right to share
- Attempt to access other users’ data
- Attempt to circumvent security controls or rate limits
- Send unsolicited messages or spam via the platform
- Use the service for any purpose other than managing a genuine wedding or event
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that breach these conditions.
6. Service availability
We aim to keep Essential Invite available at all times but cannot guarantee uninterrupted access. We will endeavour to give advance notice of planned maintenance where possible.
We are not liable for any loss arising from service unavailability, provided we have taken reasonable steps to maintain the service.
7. Intellectual property
The Essential Invite platform, design, and software are our property. You retain full ownership of the content you upload (guest names, RSVP responses, wedding details).
By uploading content you grant us a limited licence to process and store it solely for the purpose of providing the service to you.
8. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the service, including loss of data or business interruption.
Our total liability to you in any 12-month period is limited to the amount you have paid us for the service in that period (or £0 during a free beta period).
9. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
10. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. We will notify you by email of any material changes at least 14 days before they take effect. Continued use of the service after that date constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
